Landcraft is a tiny circular distillery located close to Prague, Czech Republic. Our aim is to create drinks with a sense of place - we grow most of our herbs, we take care of abandoned orchards with heirloom apple varieties and we keep our own bees to be able to sweeten with honey. We are foragers, trying to use alcohol as a medium through which terroir can be expressed. Working with natural winemakers or cidermakers, we are trying to make our vermouths out of the best base, instead of using faulty wine.

The product range may seem impressive at first sight, but there are only a few products available all-year-round. Most products are made in small batches according to the season and an ad hoc availability of raw ingredients. Our limited batches are often very small, usually one or two barrels (400 - 800 bottles) and they are relatively quickly sold out - most of our customers are subscribers.

The circular aspect means that much of what we do relies on what other people throw out as waste. Whether it is discarded fruit purée from sour beer production or organic orange peels from a guy making fresh juice. Most of our products spend some time in an oak cask. Vermouths, liquors and the like give us a very good source of cask-finish barrels for our whisky and brandy project.
